Backup & Restore

Save Your Journal Data

Daily Sticky saves your stickers and notes locally, right on your device. That keeps things simple and private — no account, nothing uploaded to a server. But it also means your sticker journal isn’t backed up anywhere else automatically, so it’s worth knowing how Export and Import work before you need them.

Export your sticker journal

Tap Export Backup to download your entire sticker journal as a JSON file: every sticker you’ve placed, every note you’ve written, and your current month and year. The file is small, readable, and yours to keep — save it to a cloud drive, email it to yourself, or just tuck it in a downloads folder.

A good time to export: before you clear your browser data, before switching devices or browsers, or just every so often for peace of mind.

Import your sticker journal

Tap Import Backup and choose a previously exported JSON file to restore your stickers and notes. This is the way back in if you get a new device, switch browsers, or ever need to reinstall.

One thing to know: importing replaces what’s currently in the app with what’s in the file. If you’ve added stickers since your last export, export again first so you don’t lose them.

Because everything lives locally, Export/Import is also the only way to move your sticker journal from one device or browser to another — there’s no automatic sync. Basically: export often, and you’ll never lose a sticker.
